Mules are currently the It shoe, but Oscar de la Renta has been on that fancy slide game for ages.
For the brand's pre-fall collection, still designed by an in-house team until Monse designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia make their return for fall 2017, each look was paired with a we-want-it-now evening flat. There were two riffs on the shoe: the embellished Mia bow slide, and delicately embroidered Audrey slippers.
Both designs are more interesting than the minimalist suede trend from last summer, but are less extra than Gucci loafers. In other words, they're perfect. Styled with casual sweaters and ball gowns alike, they truly work from day to night. What more could a girl who can barely walk in heels want?
